88-Year-Old Man Dead after Fatal Pedestrian Accident near University Avenue

SAN DIEGO, CA (February 4, 2022) – Saturday night, an 88-year-old man was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on College Avenue.

The deadly collision happened at the 4100 block of College Avenue in Redwood Village around 11:00 p.m.

According to authorities, the man was crossing the street near University Avenue and crossed in front of a passing SUV.

There, a white 2019 Chevrolet Traverse heading south on College Avenue struck the man. Paramedics immediately responded to the scene upon receiving the report about the crash.

Due to the extent of his condition, the male pedestrian eventually succumbed to his injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.

At this time, an active investigation into the crash is proceeding.
