Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Accident near Maryland Parkway

LAS VEGAS, NV (July 18, 2022) – Wednesday night, an unidentified man died in a pedestrian collision on Sahara Avenue.

California Highway Patrol responded around 11:16 p.m., just east of Maryland Parkway.

According to reports, the pedestrian was struck by a driver in a newer model four-door car traveling eastbound on Sahara for unknown reasons. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the severely injured victim.

Medical personnel arrived and transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.

Following preliminary investigations, investigators determined that the pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk.
