27-Year-Old Man Killed in Fatal Crash on Monte Vista Avenue near Dels Lane

TURLOCK, CA (March 25, 2021) – On Monday morning, a 27-year-old man was killed in a tragic pedestrian accident on Monte Vista Avenue and Dels Lane.

According to authorities, the incident happened shortly before 7:00 a.m. on March 15. The man was walking south between Monte Vista Avenue and Dels Lane. There, a westbound Chevrolet Tahoe struck him at the intersection.

As first responders arrived, they began CPR on the motionless pedestrian. The man later died as a result of his injuries in a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile the driver of the Chevrolet, a 41-year-old woman from Turlock, remained at the scene. She assisted with the investigations.

At this time, authorities are still unable to determine whether the pedestrian was using a crosswalk or had the right of way on Monte Vista Avenue. Once available, more information will be released.

An investigation is currently ongoing, and more information will be released about the accident once it is available.
