Pedestrian Accident on Las Vegas Boulevard Claims the Life of a 76-Year-Old Man near Cheyenne Avenue

LAS VEGAS, NV (September 25, 2023) – A pedestrian accident on Las Vegas Boulevard, occurring on September 17th just before 7:55 p.m., resulted in the untimely death of a 76-year-old man.

The incident took place in the vicinity just south of Cheyenne Avenue. Upon thorough investigation, law enforcement discovered that the elderly man had been walking outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a 2004 GMC Sierra traveling southbound.

Regrettably, the pedestrian’s injuries proved fatal, and paramedics who arrived at the scene pronounced him deceased. As of now, the authorities have not released the identity of the victim.

Furthermore, the 18-year-old male driver of the GMC responsibly remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators. No indications of impairment were found in the driver’s condition.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department continues to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the incident.
