Pedestrian Crash near Mission Center Road Resulted in Fatality

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 13, 2022) – Friday evening, a man died after a pedestrian accident on Interstate 8 in Mission Valley.

The deadly collision occurred just after 8:00 p.m. in lanes near Mission Center Road.

According to the police, a Nissan SUV driven by a 25-year-old San Diego woman hit a man for unknown reasons. As a result, the male pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. However, their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

The involved driver stayed at the crash site and cooperated with the investigators.
