Pickup-Pedestrian Collision near Beechtree Drive Resulted in Fatality
ENCINITAS, CA (September 15, 2022) – Monday morning, a pedestrian accident on Encinitas Boulevard claimed the life of a 79-year-old man.
The incident happened just before 6:00 a.m. in the 1300 block of Encinitas Boulevard.
According to reports, the pedestrian was crossing the street when he was struck by a pickup truck. The impact of the collision left the man with serious injuries.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after. Despite life-saving attempts, the man later died due to the extent of his injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.
Investigators believed that drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the incident.
