Man Dead after Pedestrian Crash on Pacific Coast Highway near Channel Drive
LONG BEACH, CA (November 2, 2022) – Thursday evening, a pedestrian accident near Channel Drive left a man with fatal injuries.
The fatal collision happened on October 27th, at around 6:22 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway in the area of Channel Drive in Long Beach.
According to the investigators, a pedestrian was running across Pacific Coast Highway when a 2021 Toyota Corolla fatally struck him.
When first responders arrived to the scene, they found the victim with serious injuries. Medics transported the injured man to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead due to the extent of his wounds. At this time, officials have not identified the deceased man.
Meanwhile, the 20-year-old Corolla driver from Wilmington remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
