41-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision on Winton Way

WINTON, CA (January 6, 2022) – Monday morning, a man was struck and killed in a pedestrian accident on Almond Avenue.

According to the police, the incident happened around 6:30 a.m., between Cypress and Winton Way. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.

Investigators determined that a driver was traveling at about 25 mph and struck the man while he was pushing a shopping cart. In addition, authorities also claimed that the driver failed to see the man due to lighting and the victim’s dark clothing.

Furthermore, the authorities identified the victim as a 41-year-old man from Atwater. Due to the impact of the collision, the male pedestrian died at the scene.
