Motorcyclist Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash near Hawaii Avenue

SAN DIEGO, CA (April 4, 2023) – Thursday evening, motorcycle crash on Palm Avenue and Hawaii Avenue left a man dead. The collision happened just before 6:55 p.m. at the intersection of Palm Avenue and Hawaii Avenue. According to reports, a westbound Toyota Corolla driven by an 89-year-old woman made a left turn to go south on Hawaii Avenue. There, a rider of a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle failed to stop at a red light and broadsided the sedan while heading east on Palm. Emergency crews arrived to the site of the accident shortly after. There, they pronounced the male motorcyclist dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released his identity to the public. At this time, it is unclear if the Corolla driver sustained injuries from the collision. At this time, the San Diego Police Department continues to investigate the Palm Avenue motorcycle crash.
