Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near East Bonanza Road

LAS VEGAS, NV (May 17, 2023) – Thursday evening, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on Nellis Boulevard.

Authorities responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m., just east of Bonanza Drive on April 13th.

Investigators say a pedestrian was jaywalking along the southbound lanes. There, the 36-year-old female driver of a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche traveled through a green light and struck the pedestrian.

Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported the 39-year-old male pedestrian to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.

Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. LVPD closed the southbound lanes of Nellis Boulevard to conduct an investigation. Once available, further details will be provided.
