Hit-and-Run Crash in East Palo Alto Left 64-Year-Old Man Dead, 5 Other Vehicles Damaged

EAST PALO ALTO, CA (February 28, 2023) – Sunday morning, a hit-and-run crash on Ralmar Avenue claimed the life of a man.

The incident happened on February 26th, at around 10:08 a.m., at the 2200 block of Ralmar Avenue.

According to reports, a man was walking in a residential driveway when he was struck by a car. The car also struck three other vehicles in the area. After striking the man, the driver of the involved vehicle drove off without rendering aid to the victim.

First responders to the scene reported that they discovered the victim lying unconscious and injured in the residential driveway. Medics transported him to a local hospital for treatment. However, despite life-saving efforts, the 64-year-old man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Following the crash, investigators reported that police found the suspect’s vehicle about a block away. The suspect struck two more cars and a fence in the area.
