Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Collision near Wellness Place

HENDERSON, NV (July 3, 2023) – Early Tuesday morning, one man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Galleria Drive.

The incident occurred around 6:04 a.m., near Wellness Place.

Per reports, the driver of a White Dodge Challenger struck a male pedestrian who was walking within a marked crosswalk.

Upon impact, the driver fled the scene east on Galleria Drive.

Paramedics arrived and transported the 71-year-old man to Sunrise Trauma Hospital in critical condition. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced him dead.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided. At this time, police are still working to identify the driver of the involved vehicle.
