Crash near West Tropicana Avenue Left Man Dead

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 13, 2021) – A vehicle collision near Polaris Avenue claimed the life of a man Monday afternoon.

According to authorities, the accident happened around 12 p.m. Polaris Avenue and West Tropicana Avenue.

The 1998 Dodge Ram van was seen traveling westbound in the right travel lane of West Tropicana Avenue approaching Polaris Avenue, according to evidence at the scene, witness accounts, and recovered video surveillance.

Furthermore, a 2004 Freightliner box truck was stopped in the right lane of West Tropicana.

Consequently, the Dodge failed to slow down and collided with the Freightliner’s rear.

Moreover, despite resuscitation and life-saving operations the driver of the Dodge died.

Meanwhile, the Freightliner’s driver remained at the site and showed no symptoms of intoxication.

The Collision Investigation Section of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is still investigating the accident.
