Male Victim Pronounced Dead after Three-Vehicle Collision near Pittman Road

FAIRFIELD, CA (January 30, 2023) – Sunday evening, one man was killed and three others were hurt in a 3-vehicle crash on Interstate 80.

Police responded to the scene around 5:40 p.m., just east of Pittman Road.

According to reports, the driver of a Tesla was traveling at high rates of speed and struck two other vehicles. Upon impact, the Tesla overturned several times.

Responding medics transported at least three occupants to a nearby hospital for further treatment of unspecified injuries.

Due to the extent of his condition, crews pronounced one male passenger inside the Tesla dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.

Meanwhile, the Tesla driver suffered significant injuries, and two others suffered minor injuries.

No further details regarding the Interstate 80 multi-vehicle crash have been released to the public. Fairfield Officials will provide more information once available.
