30-Year-Old Man Arrested after Fatal DUI Crash near Yolano Drive

VALLEJO, CA (February 6, 2023) – Sunday night, one man died and two victims sustained injuries in a DUI collision on Sonoma Boulevard.

Police responded to the scene around 7:55 p.m., at the 4200 block of Sonoma Boulevard near Yolano Drive.

Upon arrival, officers located a 2013 BMW SUV with a 1965 Chevrolet sedan in the wreckage.

In addition, a 1999 Honda was also involved for reasons under investigation, as it was parked while assisting the victims in the Chevrolet.

The 44-year-old Chevrolet driver, from Fairfield, suffered from fatal injuries and died at the scene. A 48-year-old female passenger from the vehicle and a third person sustained unspecified injuries.

At this time, the identity of the deceased victim remains undisclosed to the public.

Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
