29-Year-Old Injured in Big Rig Collision near South 40th Street

SAN DIEGO, CA (March 8, 2022) – On Tuesday, a man sustained serious injuries after a crash on Imperial Avenue, authorities said.

According to the police, the incident happened just before 2:30 p.m. when the man lost control of his 2008 Ford F250 for reasons unknown.

Subsequently, the van veered across the street and collided into the rear-end of a parked big rig, facing west, next to the eastbound lanes.

Eventually, paramedics arrived at the scene and took the Ford driver to a hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, San Diego Officials reported no other injuries at the scene at this time.

A portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
