Driver Hospitalized after Auto Collision on San Fernando Road
SAN FERNANDO, CA (October 3, 2022) – Late Tuesday night, one man sustained injuries in a red-light collision on Brand Boulevard.
The incident occurred shortly before 11:00 p.m., at the intersection of San Fernando Road and Brand Boulevard.
According to reports, the driver of a BMW ran several red lights before colliding with another vehicle. The impact of the crash trapped the driver of the other vehicle.
Responding firefighters had to cut the driver out to rescue him from the wreckage. After which, paramedics rushed the victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
In addition, medics transported the BMW driver to a local hospital. Meanwhile, officers found an open bottle of alcohol in the BMW. However, it is unknown if the BMW driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the red-light collision on Brand Boulevard and will inform the public once additional information become available.
