Pedestrian Crash near Highway 166 Left Oroville Man Injured

SANTA MARIA, CA (February 25, 2022) – A pedestrian accident on Highway 101 left an Oroville man injured, Friday afternoon.

According to reports, officers responded to the incident around 1:12 p.m., on the northbound lanes of the highway, just north of Highway 166.

Investigators later said that a Santa Maria driver failed to avoid hitting a pedestrian on the northbound lanes. Eventually, the first responders arrived and transported the pedestrian to a hospital for moderate injuries.

Santa Maria Officials eventually cleared the traffic flowing through the area again as of 1:55 p.m.
