50-Year-Old Rider Hurt in Motorcycle Accident near Euclid Avenue

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 12, 2022) – A motorcycle accident on University Avenue resulted in serious injuries Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The collision happened east of Euclid Avenue around 3:30 p.m.

According to the investigators, a 50-year-old man on a Kawasaki motorcycle, approached 50th Street while a 67-year-old in a Buick made a right turn.

Afterward, the motorcyclist struck the back panel of the woman’s vehicle.

Eventually, woman’s responders arrived and transported the rider to a hospital to treat serious injuries.

Meanwhile, the Buick driver remained uninjured and stayed at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

A portion of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties, but has since reopened.

At this time, San Diego Officials continue investigating the University Avenue motorcycle crash.
