28-Year-Old Man Injured in Pedestrian Collision near 58th Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 27, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a man was hospitalized following a pedestrian crash on University Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene around 7:00 a.m., near 58th Street on October 18th.
According to police, a man was walking in the area when he was struck by a white Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound on 58th Street.
Officers arrived at the scene shortly after and found the 28-year-old man with life-threatening injuries. Medics then transported him to a local hospital for treatment of multiple injuries including subdural brain injury, lung contusion, spleen injury, and hip, pelvic, and femur injuries.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old man who was driving the Chevrolet Silverado stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The identity of the deceased victim has not yet been released. At this time, the pedestrian crash on University Avenue is still under investigation.
