Chico Man Injured in Pedestrian Collision near West East Avenue

CHICO, CA (September 12, 2022) – Thursday afternoon, one man was hospitalized after a pedestrian accident on Highway 32.

The incident occurred just before 1:45 p.m., near West East Avenue and North Lindo Avenue.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle struck a male pedestrian in the area. Medics arrived and transported the male victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.

At this time, authorities have not released the identities of those involved. Although, an active investigation to determine further details is still currently underway.
