Driver At Large Following Hit-and-Run on Millbrook Avenue
FRESNO, CA (November 2, 2022) – Monday night, a 39-year-old man was hospitalized after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Olive Avenue.
The collision happened around 11:00 p.m., near the intersection of Olive and Millbrook Avenue. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple calls in the area.
Officers say the driver of a passing vehicle struck the male pedestrian who was walking outside of a marked crosswalk. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the severely injured victim.
Medics arrived and transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Meanwhile, emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
