56-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Injured in Collision near Bond Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 5, 2022) – Early Tuesday morning, a 56-year-old man was hospitalized following a hit-and-run on Garnet Avenue.
Police received dispatch calls in the area around 12:30 a.m., at the 2700 block of Garnet Avenue. Emergency crews arrived near Bond Street shortly after.
According to reports, the male pedestrian was sitting on the center median when the driver of a vehicle hit him. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the pedestrian.
Paramedics arrived and transported the man to a local hospital for further treatment of a leg fracture.
Officers described the suspect vehicle, which fled in a westbound direction, as being dark red with rally sport rims. Although, a description of the driver was not provided.
