21-Year-Old Man Injured in Electric Scooter Crash on South Durango Drive near West Mountains Edge Parkway
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 6, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, a 21-year-old man was hospitalized after an electric scooter crash on South Durango Drive.
The accident occurred near West Mountains Edge Parkway at around 2:31 p.m.
According to reports, a man riding an electric scooter east on Mountains Edge Parkway in the crosswalk at Durango Drive collided with a Honda Civic traveling northbound on Durango Drive under unknown circumstances.
Responding paramedics then transported the driver of the scooter to UMC Trauma Center with serious injuries.
Officials only described the victim as a 21-year-old man. His name will be released as soon as his family is notified.
Meanwhile, the Honda driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
At this time, officers do not currently believe that drugs or alcohol were factors. However, an active investigation is currently underway. Officials will update the public with details as soon as they become available.
