There are many excellent ways to get around in the water, including on a surfboard, aboard a boat or even Diana Nyad-style, just using your good ole' arms and legs.

But, our pothead friends, this guy found the greatest way to locomote on the Pacific: Atop a duffle bag of weed. His only hitch was that he was caught. Allegedly. It all happened last week off the coast of San Diego:

U.S. Border Patrol agents responding to a call of a man in the water one mile north of the border and about 600 yards off San Diego County's Imperial Beach say they found this guy riding high, so to speak, allegedly atop said bag.

This was about 11 p.m. Thursday, according to a statement from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Inside the bag, agents allege, was 52.43 pounds of weed worth $23,594 on the street, the CBP says.

How'd the thing float?

Anyway, the man told agents he was Mexican and undocumented vis-a-vis his presence in American waters. The CBP:

The 55-year-old man was arrested and taken to a nearby Border Patrol station for processing.

Good thing they caught him and his alleged bag o' dope before the local surfers did. Surfers hate weed.
