Unidentified Man Killed in Skateboarding Crash near Marshall Avenue
CARMICHAEL, CA (September 18, 2024) – One man was killed Monday night, in a skateboarding crash on westbound Fair Oaks Boulevard.
First responders arrived to the scene just west of Marshall Avenue around 8:30 p.m. According to California Highway Patrol officers, the driver of a westbound Chevrolet Suburban struck a man riding a skateboard in the right lane.
The impact of the collision led to the man’s death, and medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Authorities have only identified the victim as a man in his 20s. Emergency crews temporarily closed the area to clear the scene.
After the initial investigation, authorities stated that drugs and alcohol were not suspected to be factors in the incident.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once available. The investigation into the fatal skateboarding accident on Fair Oaks Boulevard is still ongoing.
