33-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Mission Bay

SAN DIEGO, CA (February 27, 2023) – Tuesday night, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on Pacific Highway.

Authorities responded to the scene around 6:45 p.m., at the 4800 block of Pacific Highway just south of Mission Bay on February 14th.

Per reports, 41-year-old male the driver of a 2016 Lincoln MKZ struck a 33-year-old man who was walking in the northbound lanes.

Medical personnel arrived shortly after and pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.

During preliminary investigations, officers determined that the involved driver was not impaired at the time of the crash.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time for clearing duties before it was later reopened. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal pedestrian collision on Pacific Highway.
