Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Semi-Truck on Blackstone Street
TULARE, CA (May 5, 2022) – Tuesday night, an unidentified man was killed in a pedestrian big-rig collision on Blackstone Street.
Just after 9:00 p.m., police responded to the scene between Kern and Sonora after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
Investigators say the male pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when a passing semi-truck hit him.
Paramedics arrived and rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where he was was later pronounced dead. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.
Additionally, the semi-truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Crews have not released any further information regarding the big-rig collision on Blackstone Street at this time.
