Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near 5 Freeway

SANTA CLARITA, CA (June 19, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Lyons Avenue. Officers responded to the scene around 4:54 a.m., along Lyons Avenue and the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway. Upon arrival, police determined that a white Ford collided with a pedestrian. However, the cause of the collision remains unknown. First responders declared the male pedestrian dead at the scene.
