Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Calloway Drive

BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 27, 2024) – One man died Saturday night in a pedestrian crash at the 10000 block of Hageman Road near Calloway Drive.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m., on May 18th.

When troopers arrived, they found the man lying on the road with critical injuries. Shortly after, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the scene. The driver who hit the man stayed at the scene and cooperated with the troopers.

The investigation revealed that the driver was traveling eastbound when she hit the pedestrian.

Emergency crews temporarily closed the surrounding area for cleanup and preliminary duties before reopening it later. The Kern County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the man’s identity.
