Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run near Avenue H

LANCASTER, CA (February 27, 2024) – One unidentified man was killed Wednesday evening, in a pedestrian accident on 10th Street West. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m., just north of Avenue H.

Authorities report that a vehicle traveling south on 10th Street West struck a pedestrian walking in the middle of the southbound lane. Following the collision, the driver fled the scene without offering assistance or notifying law enforcement.

Emergency responders on the scene pronounced the male pedestrian, believed to be in his 70s, dead. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has yet to disclose the victim’s identity. Furthermore, details about the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle have not been disclosed by the police.
