Delivery Truck Driver Runs Over Man near Loading Docks in Turlock

TURLOCK, CA (August 10, 2021) – Thursday morning, a man was killed after being run over by a delivery vehicle on Geer Road.

The crash took place just after 10:30 a.m., along the 3000 block of Geer Road, as per the report.

According to the Turlock Police Department, the delivery vehicle was reportedly backing up into the loading dock when the man was run over.

Turlock police said he was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead. However, his identity has not yet been released.

In addition, the driver of the delivery vehicle remained at the scene on Geer Road and cooperated with officials.

Investigators say speed, drugs, and alcohol do not appear to be factors. Moreover, the surrounding area on Geer Road was closed during cleanup and preliminary duties.

Meanwhile, the crash is still under investigation at this time. Once available, more information will be given.
