Unidentified Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Dietrich Road
SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 14, 2024) – One man died Sunday night in April, while trying to chase his own dogs on Interstate 10.
The incident occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m., near Dietrich Road.
Investigators report that a male driver experiencing RV problems pulled over to the right shoulder of the freeway. His dogs escaped from the vehicle and ran onto the road.
While the man was chasing his dogs, a commercial propane truck struck him. The truck driver did not stop and continued driving after the impact.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released by police.
