He was arrested overnight: See the story here.

Cops were on the lookout for an estranged husband who forced his way into his wife's West Hills residence over the weekend and killed her, leaving her “lying in the street suffering from multiple stab wounds,” according to an LAPD account.

The suspect was identified as 46-year-old Michael Rodney Kane:

Police allege that he showed up at the house in the 7100 block of Deveron Ridge Road at 7:50 a.m. Saturday, forced his way in and attacked.

Someone called 911 about an assault in progress at 7:55 a.m., and arriving officers found 43-year-old Michelle Ann Kane down and dying, police said.

The suspect fled.

Mr. Kane is 5 feet, 10 inches, 175 pounds and possibly driving a 1999 Chrysler 300 M that's silver, grey, or mint green, police said. It should have California plate number 4HGP487.

Investigators also think he might have been injured enough during the attack to need medical attention, according to an LAPD statement:

LAPD Detectives are asking Kane to turn himself in and bring closure to this tragedy.

If you spot him, or think you know where he is, call 911 or LAPD detectives at 818-756-4869.
