Male Pedestrian Killed in Deadly Collision near State College Boulevard

FULLERTON, CA (March 16, 2022) – Early Tuesday evening, a man was pronounced dead after a pedestrian accident on Chapman Avenue.

Fullerton Police said the collision happened just after 6:35 p.m., near State College Boulevard.

At this time, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that a male pedestrian was hit by a passing vehicle.

Paramedics responded and pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene, due to the extent of injuries sustained. Although, police withheld his name pending notification of next of kin.

It was not immediately known if the victim was affiliated with the university. In addition, the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Additionally, crews determined that drugs, alcohol, and speed were not potential factors in the collision.

No further details regarding the collision are public at this time; however, more information will be provided once made available.
