Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Collision on Florin Road Left One Fatality

SACRAMENTO, CA (November 10, 2021) – A male pedestrian died early Saturday morning after a hit-and-run collision on Florin Road.

Officers arrived just after 3 a.m. to reports of a person laying in the highway on Florin Road, east of French Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was struck by an unknown car, which left before authorities arrived.

Responding officers pronounced the man dead as a result of his injuries. There were no other details released about the victim.

At this time, officials have not released the name of the pedestrian. However, an active investigation is ongoing.

Sacramento Police will release additional information once it becomes available.
