Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision on 580 Freeway
OAKLAND, CA (February 25, 2022) – Monday night, a man was fatally struck in a deadly pedestrian crash near Park Boulevard.
The incident happened around 9:50 p.m., on 580 Freeway near the Park Boulevard exit. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
For unknown reasons, a man exited his vehicle and began walking in the freeway lanes. There, he was eventually struck by two passing vehicles.
Upon impact, both drivers stopped their vehicles and pulled over to contact authorities.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.
No further details were available as of this time. However, an active investigation to determine more information is still currently proceeding.
