Police responded to the scene around 2:30 a.m., just north of the Atlantis Casino Hotel Resort on June 28th.

According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian who stepped onto the road outside of a marked crosswalk. Paramedics transported the man to Renown Medical where he later passed away.

Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Following preliminary duties, officers do not believe that speed or impairment played a factor.
