Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near 11th Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (July 5, 2023) – Thursday evening, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on Jefferson Street.
Police responded to the scene around 9:00 p.m., near 11th Avenue on June 29th.
According to reports, the driver of an eastbound SUV struck a man who was standing outside of a marked crosswalk.
Upon impact, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Meanwhile, medical personnel pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.
Emergency crews blocked off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup operations. Following preliminary duties, officers ruled out impairment as a potential factor.
