Unidentified Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near Mine Shaft Drive

RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (May 14, 2024) – One man died early Monday evening, in a pedestrian crash on Folsom Boulevard and Mine Shaft Drive.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m.

At this time, only a few details are available regarding the cause of the incident.

First responders pronounced a male pedestrian dead at the scene. The Sacramento County Coroner has not yet released the identity of the deceased.

Authorities reported that the driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office closed westbound Folsom Boulevard for further investigation but later reopened it.
