Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near Fern Street

EL MONTE, CA (January 28, 2022) – Early Sunday evening, a man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Rosemead Boulevard.

The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m., on the 2600 block of Rosemead Boulevard, near Fern Street.

According to reports, the driver of a car struck a Latino man in his 50s. However, the events leading up to the collision still remain unclear.

Paramedics responded shortly after, and performed life-saving measures on the severely injured pedestrian. Although, due to the extent of his condition, medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

At this time, authorities have not yet released the victim’s name or place of residency. No additional details are currently available, but further investigation is proceeding.
