57-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near South 47th Street

SAN DIEGO, CA (March 16, 2022) – A hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Logan Avenue claimed the life of a 57-year-old man, Sunday evening.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene around 7:15 p.m., along the 4900 block of Logan Avenue.

According to reports, the unidentified driver of an eastbound vehicle struck the male pedestrian as he was walking across the street.

Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the severely injured victim. Responding medics then transported the man to a local hospital where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.

Following preliminary investigations, police described the suspect vehicle as a white Dodge Charger.
