55-Year-Old Man Killed in Fiery Motorcycle Crash near La Jolla Village Drive

LA JOLLA, CA (December 12, 2022) – Monday night, a man was killed in a fiery head-on motorcycle collision on Torrey Pines Road.

Authorities responded to the scene around 6:45 p.m., at the 11900 block of Torrey Pines near La Jolla Village Drive.

According to reports, the male rider of a Triumph motorcycle crossed the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2016 Toyota 4-Runner. Upon impact, both vehicles immediately caught on fire.

Due to the extent of his condition, medics later pronounced the motorcycle rider dead at the scene. However, authorities only described the victim as a 55-year-old man.

Meanwhile, the occupants of the Toyota 4-Runner remained uninjured. At this time, the San Diego Police Department continues to investigate the deadly motorcycle collision on Torrey Pines Road. Once available, more details will be provided.
