Cyclist Fatally Struck in Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash on Story Road

SAN JOSE, CA (October 26, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, a man was fatally struck in a bicycle collision on Senter Road.

Police responded to the scene around 12:50 a.m., near Story Road on October 9th near Happy Hollow Park and Zoo.

Investigators say the driver of a passing vehicle struck the cyclist and immediately fled the scene.

Shortly after, the victim was then hit by another vehicle. The driver of the second involved vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

First responders arrived shortly after and pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene due to the extent of his injuries. At this time, officers have not yet released his name or place of residency.

San Jose police authorities are now looking for the hit-and-run driver and ask anyone who has information to reach them at 408-947-7867.
