64-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Banning Boulevard
WILMINGTON, CA (December 23, 2021) – An unidentified 64-year-old man died tragically after a hit-and-run crash on Banning Boulevard Monday.
The collision happened 5:30 p.m., December 6, near the intersection of Banning Boulevard and Anaheim Street.
According to the CHP, the suspect driver hit the pedestrian who was walking in the street in an unmarked crosswalk. The driver continued driving and did not render aid to the victim.
Responding emergency crews then transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he later died.
CHP is offering a reward up to $50,000 to anyone who can lead police to the suspect. At this time, officials ask witnesses to contact LAPD South Traffic Division Detective Moreno at 323-421-2500.
