SUV Collision near Camp Pendleton Left 54-Year-Old Man Dead

OCEANSIDE, CA (April 18, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, a man was killed in a semi-truck accident on Interstate 5 near Camp Pendleton. According to the CHP, the collision happened just before noon, along southbound I-5 south of Aliso Creek Rest Area. Reports stated that a white Infinity QX4 collided at the rear end of a big rig for unknown reasons. Unfortunately, the responding military police and Camp Pendleton firefighters declared the Infiniti driver dead at the scene. The deceased motorist was only identified as a 54-year-old man from Westminster in Orange County. Authorities issued a SigAlert in the area until around 3:00 p.m. Investigators claimed the drug or alcohol did not play a role in the incident. At this time, the California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the Interstate 5 semi-truck accident.
