Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near Elsworth Street
MORENO VALLEY, CA (September 19, 2022) – Friday afternoon, one man was pronounced dead after a pedestrian crash on Alessandro Boulevard.
The collision occurred around 8:34 p.m., near Elsworth Street. According to reports, a pedestrian was walking south across the street with a shopping cart.
For unknown reasons, the pedestrian walked directly in front of an oncoming 2019 Toyota Tacoma. The Toyota driver did not have enough time to stop and consequently struck the pedestrian.
Eventually, responding officers pronounced the male victim dead on the scene. At this time, the name and age of the pedestrian are still not known.
Meanwhile, the Tacoma driver remained unharmed and stayed at the scene to cooperate with the investigation.
Following preliminary duties, officers do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a factor. However, an active investigation into the pedestrian crash on Alessandro Boulevard is still currently underway.
