Man Arrested after Pedestrian Crash on South Meridian near 31st Avenue South West

PUYALLUP, WA (November 28, 2022) – Sunday morning, a pedestrian crash on South Meridian claimed the life of another man. The incident happened at around 2:00 a.m., at the 2200 block of South Meridian. According to reports, a 32-year-old man was driving southbound on Meridian when he struck a car that was parked in the middle of the road. When the driver called 911 to report the accident, he also let them know that there was a man outside of the vehicle who was unconscious. The driver then performed CPR on the unconscious victim. The passenger who was in the parked vehicle was also injured in the accident. First responders arrived shortly after and declared the unconscious victim dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Medics transported the passenger, a 32-year-old woman, to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
