Pedestrian Crash on Harbor Scenic Drive near Ocean Boulevard Leaves Man Dead

LONG BEACH, CA (February 8, 2023) – Late Sunday night, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Harbor Scenic Drive.

The incident happened on January 1st, at around 11:10 p.m. near the intersection of Harbor Scenic Drive and Ocean Boulevard.

According to reports, the 20-year-old driver of a northbound 2013 Nissan Altima on Harbor Scenic Drive hit the man crossing westbound on foot under the Ocean Boulevard bridge.

Upon arrival, units discovered the male pedestrian lying on the roadway. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, first responders declared the man dead at the scene.

The deceased victim’s name remains undisclosed to the public. Authorities said the 20-year-old Nissan driver from Lakewood cooperated with the investigators.
