21-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Traffic Collision near East Arville Street

LAS VEGAS, NV (August 16, 2022) – A 21-year-old man sustained injuries in a pedestrian crash on West Flamingo Road Thursday evening.

The accident occurred around 10:30 p.m., just east of Arville Street on August 4th.

Per initial reports, a pedestrian crossed out of a marked crosswalk and in front of an oncoming Chevrolet Malibu, traveling eastbound on Flamingo Road.

Consequently the driver was unable to stop in time, eventually striking the pedestrian.

Medics arrived and rushed the pedestrian to UMC Trauma for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Police said the pedestrian currently remains in critical condition. At this time, the identities of those involved in the crash have not been made public.

Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed and cooperated with authorities.

Furthermore, alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be factors in the collision. However, more information regarding the pedestrian accident will be released as updates are made An active investigation is currently ongoing.
